Meet Our Team
Jim Herkimer - DPT, MS, ATC

Michele Herkimer - MPT
Michele has lived in the North Tustin/Orange area most of her life and has been very active in local sports programs and charities. She graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from UCLA where she was a member of the UCLA Snow Ski team, a community project leader, and a Peer Health Counselor.
After graduation, Michele pursued her master’s in Physical Therapy from USC. While she spent a couple years working in both orthopedics and pediatrics, Michele knew her primary aspiration was to help children. She spent the next 15 years following her passion working as the district physical therapist at Anaheim City School District as well as in a few different pediatric settings.
In 2007, when Michele and Jim purchased SCAR, she took over the financial and operational side of the business. She is very proud of the business they have built in the community she grew up in and loves hearing about the exceptional care a patient or fitness member received at SCAR when running into someone around town. In her free time Michele loves to walk her dogs, hike, snow ski, and spend time with her family.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in athletic training at Chapman with a dance minor, Kelly was Head Athletic Trainer at Western High School in Anaheim. She then launched the athletic training and injury prevention program at Disneyland. During her six-year tenure as Head Athletic Trainer at the theme park, she coordinated care for more than 1,000 Entertainment Division cast members. After she completed her master’s degree in healthcare administration at Chapman, graduating summa cum laude in 2001, Kelly served as Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Anaheim Memorial Medical Center.
